Sony solved the star eating issue with the new A7III

Alan Dyer (article here) shared a good news. He tested the new A7III for Astrophotography and the conclusion is:

“The Star Eater is gone. Stars are not smoothed out in long exposures.”

This is good news for all current and future A7III owners. The big question is if this “fix” can be applied to current A7rIII cameras as well via firmware update. Let’s see if Sony comes up with a solution.
