Apple 에서 새로운 PowerBook G4를 발표했다.

PowerBook의 라인업 중 15인치와 17인치 모델의 사양이 대폭 업그레이드되었는데, 디스플레이의 향상이 특히 눈에 띈다.
15인치 모델의 경우 1440 x 900 해상도의 와이드 디스플레이를 탑재했으며 이는 구형 17인치 모델의 액정 해상도와 동일한 것이다.
그리고 17인치 모델은 20인치 시네마 디스플레이의 해상도와 동일한  1680 x 1050의 고해상도 와이드 디스플레이를 장착하고 나왔다.

그 외에  CPU 속도의 향상과 함께 배터리 성능이 22퍼센트 향상되었으며, DVD±RW를 지원하는 SuperDrive가 장착되었는데, 15인치와 17인치 모델은 DVD+R DL까지 지원된다.

12인치 모델의 가격은 $1,499, 15인치 모델은 $1,999, 17인치 모델은 $2,499 부터 시작된다.
