간만에 멋진 헤비메탈 밴드를 알게 되었습니다.
바로 폴란드의 심포니블랙메탈밴드인 DARZAMAT 입니다.
개인적으로는 블랙메탈보단 고딕에 좀 더 가까운 듯 하더군요.
앤디 라로크가 이들과 살짝 관련되어 있으니, 킹다이아몬드 팬들도 즐겨들을만 합니다.

이렇게 하여, 제 스마트폰의 음악폴더엔 3개의 폴란드밴드가 있네요.
데쓰메탈밴드 Turbo, 블랙메탈밴드 Behemoth, 그리고 심포니메탈밴드 Darzamat.

1997년의 미니앨범 In the Opium of Black Veil 을 우선 추천합니다.
2009년의 컨쎕앨범 Solfernus' Path 도 아주 좋구요.

만약 아래의 짧은 곡이 맘에 들면 한번쯤 이들 앨범 몇개를 정주행하는 것도 나쁘지 않을 것 같습니다.
제목은 Letter from Hell 이고, 마녀사냥에 관한 이야기입니다.
2005년 앨범 Transkarpatia 의 여섯번째 수록곡이죠.
이 곡을 듣는 내내 엄청 슬펐어요.

사실, 제가 제일 좋아하는 폴란드 노래는 따로 있습니다.
그건 바로, "가자! 노동해방" 의 원곡인 "야넥 비시니예프스키가 쓰러졌다(Janek Wiśniewski Padł)"입니다.



이렇게 보면, 쇼팽의 조국인 폴란드는 역사적으로 음악이 융성한 나라인 것 같아요.
메탈씬에선 Turbo, Behemoth, Astrosis 그리고 Darzamat.
이들의 음악은 뭔가 특별합니다.
슬픈 역사의 힘인가요.
